Few things evoke the comforts of hearth and home better than the smell of fresh-baked bread, so it's no wonder that each store's bakery is a popular destination. We bake daily at every store, using only the freshest ingredients, including cage-free eggs and the best quality flour available, to offer you the choices you want and need.
European style loaves are a daily feature at all stores. Selections vary from day to day and store to store and may include crusty Italian bread á la Tuscany, exotically hearty Black Bean Chipotle or the perennially popular Seeduction bread. Our European breads are made slowly and with care to maximize flavor and texture.
We are pioneers in gluten-free baking, with a bakehouse dedicated exclusively to the creation and baking of an ever-growing number of gluten-free products, from sandwich bread and pizza crust to cookies and extraordinary desserts.
Other selections from our Bakery department include cornbread, foccacia, bagels, croissants, pies, and cakes of all kinds, each one made with love and skill from the finest ingredients. We also feature tempting confections from Tiny Trapeze.
We never allow artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, preservatives or trans fats in any of the products we sell, so the next time the perfume of fresh baked-bread lures you to one of our bakeries, be assured that whatever you buy for you and your family, it will be the very best available.
Cage-Free Eggs in Our Bakeries
Offering eggs to shoppers ONLY from cage-free hens is nothing new at Whole Foods Market as it's been our standard since June 2004. And, since January 2005, this standard was extended to our kitchens, bakeries, bake houses and commissaries for baked goods and prepared foods, which are made using ONLY cage-free eggs as well.
