Every department presents a superb selection of offerings, including:
- A 4,000-square foot produce section, housing more than 300 items daily with a focus on in-season local and organic items, as well as fresh-cut, ready-to-use or ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables.
- An expansive prepared foods department featuring:
- More than 100 items on both a full-service and self-service hot bar, salad bar, soup bar and dessert bar. Hot bars will showcase our chefs' talents with a wide variety of cuisines from around the world - Asian, Indian, Latin, Italian, continental and home-style comfort, all prepared on site and fresh daily.
- Full Service "chef's case" with dozens of items for putting together a perfect meal.
- More than 130 options in our pre-packaged ready-to-eat section.
- Gourmet hot and cold sandwiches inspired by world cuisine, as well as new twists on classic favorites.
- brick oven pizza hearth featuring made-to-order Italian specialties such as hand tossed pizzas, calzones and strombolis.
- More than 15 daily-made soups on three separate self-service soup bars.
- An expansive fresh seafood counter with a wide selection of freshly caught local fish, expertly prepared ready-to-cook items, and a self serve seafood salad and soup bar. Professional fish mongers are always available to cut or fillet customers' choices to order.
- A 48-foot meat department featuring:
- More than 30 types of in-house, hand-made sausages and kabobs.
- Southern Smokehouse - featuring smoked-in-house briskets, pulled pork, spare ribs, wings and whole chickens.
- Dry-aged beef aged in store in a custom made dry-ageing display case.
- Bakery with dozens of artisanal breads baked in the European tradition, as well as hundreds of cakes, cookies, sliced breads and pastries from our ovens.
- Dozens of gourmet olive oils, with varieties from around the world.
- European charcuterie section featuring artisanal meats and cheeses from around the world and from some of Americas top producers.
- An expansive wine department with more than 950 selections, including hard-to-find, limited-availability wines, as well as a large selection for under $10.
- Cheese department with more than 350 hand cut cheeses.
- In-store coffee roaster featuring more than 18 fresh roasted coffees daily.
- A full-service coffee and espresso bar offering traditional favorites, hand-brewed single serve coffees using our fresh roasted beans, and a store made Gelato Bar
- A floral department staffed by expert floral designers ready to create custom creations for any occasion.
- A 130-seat indoor-outdoor café where shoppers can enjoy lunch, a cup of coffee, or a light snack before or after shopping.
The Whole Foods Market-Jacksonville store will also feature a comprehensive, customer-friendly Whole BodyTM department, offering a large selection of luxurious natural body care items and cosmetics, as well as a broad selection of high-quality nutritional supplements and vitamins. A professionally staffed Natural Cosmetic Counter will feature well known lines like Dr. Haushka and Mineral Fusion. All products in the Whole Body department are made with the highest quality natural ingredients and are free of harsh chemicals and unnecessary fillers. The department will also offer a large selection of organic cotton clothing and "Earth Shoes" footwear.
The store will also include a Whole BabyTM section with a wide variety of organic cotton baby clothing, all-natural baby foods, toys, supplements, baby body care lotions and other products, and infant care items.
The community will enjoy the store's Lifestyle Center Cooking School, where top local chefs and in-store culinary experts will host cooking classes in the center's fully-equipped kitchen. The public is invited to enjoy health lectures, fitness classes, children's events, store tours, food and wine tastings, and other activities focused on the celebration of food.
