1. Set the date, time and menu/theme.
2. Make a guest list and send out invitations.
3. Assign each guest a cooking or noncooking task. noncooking tasks can include bringing flowers, beverages, cheese course, wine and even dessert.
4. Gather extra serving platters, baskets and utensils before guests arrive.
